Headingley
Headingley is a desirable area for both students and professionals. Check out the best things to do in and around Headingley. It is ideally placed for the Beckett’s Park campus and has its own little shopping centre with supermarkets, charity shops, and restaurants. The town centre and city campuses are are easily accessible by frequently running buses which have special student fares.
If you are wanting a night out you wont have to go far; Headingley is home to numerous bars and restaurants including Nando’s and The Box. Alternatively you can hop on the bus and visit the larger clubs in town.
Hyde park, Headingley’s sister area, is a short walk away and home to some of the biggest house parties in Leeds. There are also more shops, restaurants and cafes.
The houses in this area are semi detached or terraced and have between 2 and 5 bedrooms, making them ideal for smaller groups. There is less of a ‘student’ feel in this area due to the mixture of students, professionals and families. Headingley has many picturesque parts, with Beckett’s park near by, tree-lined pavements and tidy houses. The stadium is home to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Leeds Rhinos Rugby league team and Yorkshire Carnegie rugby union team.
